It was a nice, warm Sunday for the 2025 Ayer Open. A big thanks to the hardworking grounds crew for keeping the course in tip-top shape and to the kitchen staff for their great attention to detail on our post-round meal. We sincerely hope that everyone had an excellent time both on and off the course!
Results are slowly being moved over to GolfGenius as we continue to feel our way around the functions of the software. Most results of the Ayer Open will be listed on that platform which makes it really easy to display...

It's not really feasible or a good use of our time to do the proximity/long-drive/side competitions out of the software. These items will be reported in blog posts such as this!
There was one change for the 4th flight owing to an issue with how the system was matching cards. 1st and 2nd place flipped and Jane has the corrected gift cards for the new Gross winners. David and Bill, please see her to trade in your previously awarded gift cards.
Everyone who won a proximity or side competition on Sunday has already collected their winnings. The record sheet was lost in the shuffle once awards went out so you'll have to use your imagination on who won. Did Tom Ayer stick one to 2 inches on 14? Not very likely, but people can always dream.
The only side competition where we have all of the names was the shootout. Congratulations to Bryan Riley and Jim Chase of their 1st and 2nd tightest shots respectively. Nice wedge shots, fellas.
Our next event, The Firecracker, has been at capacity for at least two weeks now. We do not have any slots available in the event as the course is fully booked and every cart in our fleet will be required.
Following The Firecracker is our Club Championship, taking place the weekend of July 19th and 20th. This is an opportunity to show off your game and win money towards your 2026 membership. The sign-up sheet will be posted in the Pro Shop shortly!
