A Busy Week

Updated: Sep 4, 2019

After a disappointing Labor Day we're looking forward to next week and the slew of events taking place Wednesday through Monday. Outside events make up the overwhelming majority of these; however, with start times early in the morning look forward to some beautiful fall golf after these events have wrapped up.

Our Upcoming Events

Wednesday, 9/4: The Cedar Ridge Challenge, 4:30-7pm Shotgun, West and North Utilized

Thursday, 9/5: CVU Golf Event, 4:00pm Shotgun, One Side Utilized

Friday, 9/6: VT State Employees, 9:00am-2:00pm Shotgun, West and North Utilized

Saturday, 9/7: CVU Volleyball Fundraiser, 9:00am-2:00pm Shotgun, West Utilized for 2 Hours

Sunday, 9/8: WOKO Fall Golf Classic, 8:30am-1:30pm Shotgun, West and North Utilized

Monday, 9/9: Men's Twilight League Banquet, ~4:00pm Shotgun, West and North Utilized

If you are interested in playing during a day where events are taking place, do not hesitate to call the pro-shop and make a plan to get out and play. The South will be open every day and tee times will be available following these events.

A huge thank you to all who participated in the Raymond Ayer Memorial this past weekend. We love the camaraderie between teammates and competition between teams, congratulations to Red on their comeback and free round of drinks courtesy of their captain.

While the Red team cleaned up there were some other notable mentions from the weekend as well. Tim Ayer proved his mettle against Tom Ayer in a Sunday afternoon match to steal one point away from the Red Team (lots of money changed hands after this). Marcel Giourard went 4/4 for the Green Team winning a total of 4.2 points, 2.7 more points than his own captain, Chris Remsen. Juniors Namo Chaisri and Elise Ayer won half of their individual matches, unfortunately being taken down by Mr. Joe Cassarino in both of their respective matches against him.

Our next club event is the Member-Member on 9/14, the sign up sheet is posted in the clubhouse and we already have 20 teams. It's sure to be a great time so get signed up! As the Fall begins it's time to think about your standing on the Dogfight leader-board. If you're dangling from the board you might consider putting in again to solidify your standing.
